Oil pastels....mess-free; chalk pastels......total messy...i have chalk pastels.Before we started today's class we learned about the different types of pastels as I mentioned before, chalk and oil. The best type of surface to work on with pastels is a SLIGHTLY rough surface to capture the particles and blend or help to blend the colors better.Some examples of pastel materials are like pastel paper,obviously, cold pressed water colour paper and
veilour. Oil pastels can also be blended using a technique called artist turpentine. When doing a pastel drawing the most important t thing u must have is a color chat of the different shades of your fruit/veges. The way in which u apply your technique of using the pastels is also important....Miss sort of took my paper,pastels and did a drawing on mine.......so i kinda got a head start
